6 Tablespoons Olive Oil

1 Pound Smoked Sausage, chopped onto small pieces

1 Pound Small Shrimp

1 1/2 Cups Stock Or Water

1 Tablespoon Butter
Directions

Heat Dutch oven to medium high heat. Add olive oil, sausage and shrimp, and fry until meat is slightly browned.

Add Lowcountry Red Rice, stock and butter to pot, and bring to a boil over high heat. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer 14 to 16 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.

Fluff rice with fork and serve immediately.
