Ingredients

1 Teaspoon Olive Oil

1 Pound Sweet Italian Sausage, removed from casing

1/2 Small Onion, diced

4 Cloves Garlic, minced

1/2 Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper

1 Quart Chicken Broth

1/4 Cup Kale Flakes

1/2 Pound Red Potatoes, diced small

1 Cup Heavy Cream

1 Teaspoon Fine Sea Salt

1 Teaspoon Fine Ground Black Pepper
Directions

Heat olive oil in large pot over medium heat. Add Italian sausage and brown, mashing and breaking sausage into small pieces with wooden spoon.

Add onion, garlic and crushed red pepper, and cook for another 5 to 6 minutes until onions are soft.

Add chicken broth, Kale Flakes and potatoes. Bring broth to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer and cook until potatoes pierce easily with fork.

Add heavy cream, salt and ground black pepper, and stir to heat through. Serve immediately.
