1 Medium Onion, chopped

1 Small Head Purple Cabbage, sliced

1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

1 Cup Vegetable Stock

2 Tablespoons Light Brown Sugar

2 Cups Rye Berries , cooked
Directions

Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion, and cook, stirring occasionally, until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add cabbage, bay leaf and cloves, and cook until cabbage begins to wilt, about 5 minutes.

Stir in vinegar to coat cabbage. Add broth and brown sugar. Cover and bring to a simmer. Cook 15 to 20 minutes.

Stir in Rye Berries and heat through. Season to taste with salt and ground black pepper.
