Ingredients

3 Tablespoons Minced Onion

1 Tablespoon Unsalted Butter

1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

1/2 Teaspoon White Sugar

1 Tablespoon Water

1 1/2 Cups Sour Cream

1/2 Pound Cream Cheese, softened

1 Tablespoon Parsley, finely chopped

1 Teaspoon Toasted Onion Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce

Potato Chips, Pita Chips Or Crudités For Serving
Directions

Place onions in enough water to cover and let soak until soft. Drain.

Melt butter with olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onions, and sprinkle with sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, until golden-brown, about 25 minutes. Add water, and cook, stirring, until water has evaporated, about 3 minutes. Allow onions to cool slightly before proceeding.

Mix sour cream, cream cheese, parsley, onion powder and Worcestershire sauce together in large bowl until well-combined. Add onions, and season to taste with salt and black pepper.

Serve at room temperature with chips or crudités.
