Toasted Onion Powder reinforces the fresh onions in this retro-classic dip. While highlighting the mellow sweetness of caramelized onions, it also has a bit of bite from the background flavors of our Toasted Onion Powder and Worcestershire sauce.

  1. Place onions in enough water to cover and let soak until soft. Drain.

  2. Melt butter with olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onions, and sprinkle with sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, until golden-brown, about 25 minutes. Add water, and cook, stirring, until water has evaporated, about 3 minutes. Allow onions to cool slightly before proceeding.

  3. Mix sour cream, cream cheese, parsley, onion powder and Worcestershire sauce together in large bowl until well-combined. Add onions, and season to taste with salt and black pepper.

  4. Serve at room temperature with chips or crudités.
