    Wild Rice Flour is ground from Wild Rice grown in the rich lands of Minnesota. A mainstay in the diet of many Native American tribes in the upper Midwest, wild rice provided nutrition during harsh winters when hunting and fishing were difficult.

    Wild rice is not technically rice, but the seed of an aquatic grass. It resembles a very long grained, dark brown to black rice and can be used in the same applications with an earthier, wilder taste and texture.

    We take the same high-quality wild rice we sell whole and mill it to a tan-colored flour for our Wild Rice Flour. Naturally gluten-free, it offers a healthful alternative or complement to other flours.
