Tuxedo Orzo Blend
Tuxedo Blend Orzo is a mix of two varieties of rice-shaped semolina pastas, one of which is plain orzo and the other is naturally colored with cuttlefish ink. Together they make a mix of black and white, like a tuxedo. It can be easily substituted for rice or other small, cut pasta shapes.

Suggested uses
Basic prep
Add 1 cup of orzo to a large pot of boiling water with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of neutral cooking oil. Cook for 10-12 minutes until al dente and strain. Rinse with cold water to cool for salads or use immediately in hot preparations.
Ingredients
Enriched durum semolina flour (flour, niacin, ferrous sulfate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), cuttlefish ink. Contains wheat.

The naturally firm texture and unique color of this pasta makes it a flexible and versatile ingredient that is resilient to long cooking times and easily incorporated with other ingredients. Traditionally, orzo has been used with rice to make pilafs, and has been a mainstay ingredient in Italian cooking for centuries. The word "orzo" means "barley" in Italian, most likely referring to the pasta's grainlike shape.
