Pecans offer a rich, delicious buttery flavor with a natural, crunchy taste. We take raw North American pecans and break them into pieces for the convenient application of hearty, healthy nutty flavor of our Medium Pecan Pieces.
Suggested uses
Basic prep
Ready to use. Add as needed. Add single layer of pecans to baking sheet. Bake at 325ºF, stirring often, for 10 minutes to toast.

Pecans are the edible kernels that grow inside the seeds of the pecan tree (Carya illinoiensis). Originating in the southern United States, wild pecans were a staple component of Native American diets. In fact our word "pecan" is a form of the Algonquin word "paccan" which referred to the edible nuts of any variety of hickory tree, including both what we call "pecan" and what we call "walnuts."
Modern agricultural methods have made the cultivation of pecans more profitable, including by increasing the productivity of each tree. The U.S. is responsible for 80 percent of the world's annual pecan production, primarily in Georgia, Texas and New Mexico.
Pecans are beloved for their pleasant crunch, their rich, buttery nut flavor and (increasingly) for their nutritional content. Pecans are a good source of protein, unsaturated fats and are rich in omega-6 fatty acids and plant sterols.
Medium Pecan Pieces are pieces and fragments of the same sort of premium U.S.-grown pecans we sell whole and ground, broken into coarse pieces. They're the right choice for applications requiring larger pieces than in pecan meal but which don't benefit from (more expensive) pecan halves.

Classic pecan pie is must for holidays, or weekends, or weekdays. Our Medium Pecan pieces are just chopped enough to leave lots of big chunks and some finer bits. This super easy recipe whips up in less than hour and the result shows off the buttery, crunchy southern charm of pecans like nothing else.
