A rediscovered ancient grain from the Andes kingdoms of the Incas, our Incan Quinoa Blend brings the nutty flavor and wholesome, whole-grain nutrition of quinoa to your table.

This blend of three colorful varieties (black, golden and red quinoa) of nutrient dense grains is a good source of complete proteins, essential amino acids, fiber and many of B-complex vitamins. In fact, the United Nations' World Health Organization found quinoa has the most ideal protein balance of any grain. It has since become an extremely popular health food because it is such a rich source of protein and other nutrients and has fewer carbohydrates than other grains.

While high in protein, it is a popular component of gluten-free diets because it does not contain the protein gluten.

Cooking quinoa causes its hulls to split from creamy soft grains, for a unique texture combination akin to bulgur mixed with couscous-delicate with a pleasing crunch.

We source our quinoa from the same South American regions where quinoa has been naturally grown since it was first cultivated by ancient civilizations. We purchase it from growers who use eco-conscious methods to produce an all-natural product. Our quinoa is thoroughly pre-washed and ready to cook.

Quinoa comes in a range of colors, with the most common being white (most commonly available, so often simply called "quinoa"), red and black. Compared to white quinoa, the red variety holds its shape slightly better after cooking, and black quinoa has a slightly earthier and sweeter flavor.
