    Ingredients

De Arbol powder, ghost chile powder, ground peppercorns.

Ghost chiles (also called "Bhut Jolokia" in the parts of India where they were originally cultivated) were specifically bred to be among the hottest, most potent chiles on the planet. They are the result of careful cultivation to produce a fiercely hot chile. Our Ghost Chile Powder Blend is made from the same high-quality dried ghost chiles we sell whole, along with dried chiles de arbol and white peppercorns. Deep orange in color, it adds fiery heat to any dish.

Fresh ghost chiles are generally 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 inches long and about 1 inch wide. They ripen to a range of yellow-orange to bright red colors.

    Classic recipe

    Spicy Shrimp Curry

This blazing hot Indian shrimp curry gets its singeing heat from the “bhut jolokia” or ghost chile, one of the hottest chile peppers in the world. In its powdered form, just 1/2 teaspoon makes a swelteringly hot curry. For a slightly less potent (but still fiery hot) result, scale back the chile powder to 1/4 teaspoon. Be sure to protect your eyes and nose while handling the Ghost Chile Powder.
