  • Makes a hearty addition to stir fries, pastas and rice dishes.

  • Basic prep

Some of the mushrooms in this blend are wild, and may contain small stones or pebbles trapped within them. Rinse mushrooms under cold running water to remove any possible debris. To rehydrate prior to use, place mushrooms in a heatproof bowl and cover with boiling water. Soak until softened, typically 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to help dislodge any trapped stones. Remove from water, and examine a second time.

Our Forest Blend Dried Mushrooms are a great way to sample the earthy flavors of five different varieties of exotic, wild mushrooms. This combination of dried Shiitake, Porcini, Oyster, Bolete and Wood Ear mushrooms offers a great bang-for-the-buck proposition. Five different mushroom varieties means 5 different layers of flavor in one product.

Like all our great dried mushroom products, Forest Mushroom Blend is a shelf-stable product, making it a great alternative to perishable fresh mushrooms. It’s also available year-round, making it more convenient to incorporate into staple menu items.
