Ingredients
Bing cherries. Cherries are a natural product and may contain an occasional pit or pit fragments.
Bing Cherries are the most produced sweet cherry in the United States, and the variety most often eaten fresh. Native to Europe and Southwest Asia, early settlers brought Cherries to America in the 1600s. Although cherries are grown in more than 20 countries, the United States remains the leader in production, with most Bing Cherries being harvested in California, Oregon, Wisconsin and Michigan.
Bing Cherries are rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, and are thought to contribute to heart health due to their anti-inflammatory effects. They have also been shown to be helpful as a natural alternative to medication in managing pain and insomnia.
We source U.S.-grown Bing Cherries and mechanically dry them for an all-natural form of this sweet cherry.
Classic recipe
Cherry Pie Filling
Rainier cherries are a premium, lavish summer treat with a brief summer harvest. Keeping our dried cherries on hand provides for delicious, sweet and tart cherry treats any time of year. This sweet pie filling is given a sharp pop of flavor from lemon juice but other flavors like orange or even almond will balance the juicy meatiness of the filling.
